Are Treats for People, Too?

“Can people eat these dog treats?” It may sound funny, but this is a question I get all the time! 😁

The short answer: Yes, people can technically eat these dog treats because they’re all made with human-grade ingredients.

HOWEVER, I don’t market or sell them as human food because Henry’s Barkalicious Dog Treats is only licensed to sell pet treats - not people food. As a matter of fact, I am required to include the phrase “Not For Human Consumption” on my labels to make that clear.

A license to produce food for humans involves a different regulatory process, and we don’t want to get the two confused. 

Also, my treats don’t contain extras like salt, refined sugar or alcohol-based flavor extracts that typically make food palatable to human beings. Your pup’s health is super important to me, and they

don’t need that unhealthy junk in their bodies.

So while technically you “can” snack on your dog’s treats, I don’t recommend it. You probably won’t like the taste and let’s face it - dogs get mad when we eat their treats! 😂
